- My therapy approaches -
I use a combination of approaches to best meet the specific need of each unique client. As an Integrative practitioner, I draw on what’s known as humanistic and potentiality models of human behaviour together with
- Somatic Experiencing (SE)
- Transforming Touch (TEB)
- Play Therapy skills
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
While theory informs my practice, my main focus is on creating a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship that enables real change to occur. My approach capitalises on the vast creativity of both the therapist and the client.
Trusting, Confidential and safe
I see my clients face-to-face at my practice in Tralee, County Kerry. It is a safe beautiful space. I also provide online counselling for those who prefer it or are unable to attend in person due to location.
Audrey is warm and a great listener but more than that, she makes you think and feel your way forward.
As each week passed, I found the answers myself and it was so good to have her guidance and support. Audrey used lots of different techniques and ways to work through issues. She is really good at reading the mood and energy on the day and responds sensitively to it
There was a lot of conflict in the home and communication was fraught. My time with Audrey gave me a chance to reflect and an opportunity for change.
With some simple changes, I seem to be managing conflict better and there’s less of it anyway. The house is no cleaner; but it is a happier home with fewer arguments. Thank you Audrey.
